SUMMARY:Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar at Chinese Community Center (CCC)\, Houston TX
DESCRIPTION:In order to encourage voter registration\, Texas election law provides for County Voter Registrars to designate individuals to assist in the registration of eligible persons to vote. These individuals are appointed as Volunteer Deputy Registrars and operate under State rules and the supervision of the County Voter Registrar. \nTo be eligible to serve as a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar\, you MUST be: \n\nat least 18 years of age\na citizen of the United States\na resident of Texas\n\nSee additional rules here at VDVR. \nRSVP no later than 48 hours in advance to receive your certificate of appointment on the same day of the VDVR training. If no RSVP is submitted\, you can still attend and receive your certificate of appointment by mail within 10 business days after completion. \nAll participants must arrive on-time and attend the training in its entirety on a first-come\, first serve-basis. Trainings are approximately one hour.
